Installation Guide

Tools You'll Need:

The tools listed below are recommendations and may vary based on the type of wall panels you are installing. Some panels can be cut with a simple box cutter, while others may require a drill or handsaw. Choose the tools that best suit your project and preference.

  • Oscillating Tool – For precise cuts and adjustments, we recommend Dewalt Max XR/Atomic for best result.
  • Handsaw – Ideal for manual cutting
  • Adhesive – Strong, long-lasting bond. We highly recommend using one from Loctite Power Grab
  • Gorilla Hot Glue – Quick hold for initial placement
  • Box Cutter – For fine trimming and adjustments. We find that WORKPRO cutter works best for our product.
  • Drill – For securing panels with screws, we recommend using the Dewalt Cordless
  • Nails – Extra support for firm attachment, we suggest using ones from Mr. Pen
  • Sandpaper – To smooth rough edges for a clean finish

Adhesive Recommendations

Choosing the right adhesive is crucial for a secure and long-lasting wall panel installation. Here’s a ranking of adhesive strength, from least to most durable, based on application needs:

3M Velcro – Best for temporary or removable panel installations.

3M VHB Tape – Stronger than Velcro, ideal for lightweight panels with a clean finish.

Loctite Power Grab – A solid choice for indoor applications, providing a strong bond with minimal mess.

Liquid Nails – Designed for both interior and exterior use, offering better durability and weather resistance.

Sikaflex – The strongest option, perfect for heavy-duty outdoor applications with superior flexibility and long-term hold.

For indoor wall panels, Loctite Power Grab is a great balance of strength and ease of use. If you're installing panels outdoors or in high-moisture areas, Liquid Nails or Sikaflex will ensure maximum durability.

Step-by-Step Installation Guide:

Step 1: Prepare Your Wall

  • Clean the surface to remove dust and debris.
  • Ensure the wall is dry and smooth for the best adhesion.
  • If necessary, sand down any rough patches.

Step 2: Measure & Plan

  • Measure your wall dimensions and mark guidelines for precise placement.
  • Plan your panel layout to avoid unnecessary cuts.

Step 3: Cutting the Panels

  • Use an oscillating tool or handsaw to trim panels to size.
  • Smooth edges with sandpaper to prevent splintering.

Step 4: Apply Adhesive & Position Panels

  • Apply Loctite Power Grab adhesive in even strips on the back of the panel.
  • Use Gorilla Hot Glue in small dabs for an instant hold while the adhesive sets.
  • Press the panel firmly against the wall, ensuring proper alignment.

Step 5: Secure Panels

  • Use a drill and nails for added support, especially on uneven surfaces.
  • If necessary, reinforce edges with additional adhesive.

Step 6: Finishing Touches

  • Check for any gaps and fill them with adhesive or caulk.
  • Lightly sand any rough edges for a seamless look.
  • Allow the adhesive to fully cure before applying any paint or finish.
